Modern Finishes
Not everything we undertake is antique restoration, in fact in we receive numerous emails for the re-finishing and repair of modern and retro furniture. Whether it is water damaged, sunlight fading or just complete re-finishing of old and tired surfaces.
The approach can sometimes be the same as French polishing or the repairing of an antique piece, however different finishes are usually applied. Currently there is quite a resurgence of oiled finishes. Also, a sensible approach to recycling and up-cycling can benefit your wallet and the environment at the same time. Below are a few examples of pieces we have restored and polished over the years. However, we always recommend a visit to our showroom and workshop.
