Clocks & Case Repairs
We restore clock cases as well as movements. We employ the skills of a horologist to repair and service the clock movement, and at Sunnyside Antiques we repair and polish the clock cases. Here are a few clocks, albeit in various damaged conditions, some requiring significant restoration and structural repair to carcass and veneers.
A piece might also require missing brasses (like above clock case). If an item of antique furniture has metal fixtures missing, we may have it in stock from our large selection of salvaged locks, keys, escutcheons, hinges and handles, etc. If we don’t have the missing item in stock, we can make copies from an original. All of these aged to fit perfectly whilst keeping the original style and patina.
